The first level of professional diving. Lead dives, assist instruction, and work in the dive industry — trained at one of Cancún’s most active SSI dive centers.

The SSI Divemaster program is the bridge between recreational and professional diving. You develop the leadership skills, rescue competency, and dive knowledge to guide certified divers, assist SSI instructors, and work at dive centers worldwide. Training at Vision Oceanos means real-world exposure — active dive operations, diverse student types, and Caribbean conditions year-round.
Academic Training
SSI digital materials covering dive theory, physics, physiology, equipment, and divemaster responsibilities. Self-paced online component.
Water Skills
Timed surface swims, underwater navigation, rescue scenarios, buoyancy demonstrations. Evaluated against SSI professional standards.
Internship Dives
Assist on real Vision Oceanos tours and courses. Guide certified divers, shadow instructors during Open Water and Try Scuba programs.
SSI Divemaster Card
Globally recognized professional certification. Qualifies you to lead dives and assist SSI instructors at any affiliated dive center.
