This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines the terms related to cancellations, rescheduling, refunds, no-shows, and weather-related changes for all scuba diving activities, tours, and SSI courses offered by Vision Oceanos, a professional dive center in Cancun, Mexico.
This page is designed to provide complete transparency for customers and to comply with Google’s requirements for clear business policies.
1. General Cancellation Policy
To ensure fairness and operational reliability, the following cancellation rules apply:
1.1 Full Refund Eligibility
A full refund is available when cancellations are made more than 48 hours before the scheduled activity start time.
1.2 Non-Refundable Cancellations
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled activity are not eligible for refunds.
1.3 One-Time Rescheduling
If cancellation occurs within 48 hours:
- Customers may request one-time rescheduling,
- Rescheduling is subject to availability,
- Rescheduling is not allowed for no-shows.
2. No-Show Policy (Strict Enforcement)
A no-show occurs when a customer fails to arrive at the designated meeting point or check-in time.
The following rules apply:
- No refunds for no-shows, for any reason.
- Late arrivals that miss the boat departure or briefing are considered no-shows.
- Personal issues, transportation delays, illness without medical proof, intoxication, or oversleeping do not qualify for refunds or rescheduling.
3. No Refunds Once the Activity Begins
Once the activity has started, no refunds will be issued, regardless of circumstances.
Examples include:
- Customer chooses not to dive after boarding
- Seasickness or anxiety
- Weather changes during the trip
- Equipment discomfort
- Failure to complete the dive
4. Weather, Port Closures, and Safety Cancellations
Vision Oceanos may cancel activities due to:
- Unsafe weather conditions
- Port authority restrictions
- Equipment or mechanical issues
- Safety concerns identified by our staff
If Vision Oceanos cancels an activity, customers may choose:
- A full refund, or
- A rescheduled date, subject to availability
5. SSI Courses and Training Programs (Non-Refundable)
SSI courses include digital learning materials that cannot be revoked once assigned.
Therefore:
- SSI training courses are non-refundable once e-learning materials have been issued.
- Sessions may be rescheduled when possible, but payments cannot be refunded.
6. Health, Medical Conditions, and Certification Requirements
To ensure safety:
- Customers must provide accurate health information
- Certified divers must bring valid certification cards
- Refunds are not granted if a customer cannot participate due to undisclosed medical conditions or missing certification
7. Rescheduling Policy
Rescheduling is allowed once under the following conditions:
- The request is made outside of no-show circumstances
- There is availability on the requested date
- Vision Oceanos confirms the new reservation in writing

9. Additional Terms and Conditions
By booking any service, customers acknowledge and agree to this Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Vision Oceanos is not responsible for travel delays, personal emergencies, or factors outside our control.
