A CANCÚN SHIPWRECK, THEN A REEF
One morning trip, two dives. The first is on one of Cancún’s two shipwrecks, the C-55 Juan de la Barrera or the C-58 General Anaya, at 24 metres. The second is on a Cancún reef. This is one wreck dive and one reef dive, not two wreck dives.
The wrecks are our farthest dive site from the Cancún coast, with the longest boat ride of any Cancún dive. Your SSI dive professional briefs you on board and guides both dives.
C-55 JUAN DE LA BARRERA
A former Mexican Navy ship sunk in 2000 as an artificial reef. Its hull now shelters barracuda, groupers and snappers.
C-58 GENERAL ANAYA
The sister ship of the C-55, sunk the same year. From December to March, eagle rays are often seen passing over the wreck.
SECOND DIVE · CANCÚN REEF
After the surface interval, the second dive is on one of our Cancún reefs, at a shallower depth than the wreck.

REQUIREMENTS
WHO THIS DIVE IS FOR
The wrecks sit at 24 metres, so this trip is for divers with SSI Advanced Adventurer certification or an equivalent advanced certification. Not yet Advanced? Our Advanced Adventurer course is the next step.
The wreck departs on select days only. After you book, we confirm your date personally by WhatsApp. If the weather does not allow us to go out, we do not sail and your payment is refunded in full.
From late November through winter, spotted eagle rays gather around the wrecks. See when to dive in Cancún, month by month.
