Cancún’s reefs are rich, varied, and full of life at every scale. The Punta Cancún reef line offers approximately 10 different dive sites within a compact area — from shallow 10-meter local spots to 16-meter reef walls with moderate current inside Cancún Bay.
Micro Life & Nudibranchs
Cancún’s reefs are exceptional for macro photography and micro life observation. Nudibranchs — some of the most visually stunning creatures in the ocean — are found regularly here, in extraordinary varieties. This level of micro biodiversity isn’t what Cozumel is known for.
Reef Variety
In a single day of diving in Cancún you can experience shallow calm reefs at 10 meters, natural underwater tunnels at Túneles, horseshoe coral formations at Herradura, and drift conditions along the outer reef line. No two dives feel the same.

SCUBA DIVING IN COZUMEL
Cozumel is one of the most famous dive destinations in the world — and for good reason. Located 70 kilometers south of Cancún, it sits on the western side of the island where the reef drops into a dramatic wall system swept by the Yucatán Current.
Giant Coral Formations
Cozumel is known for massive coral structures — enormous barrel sponges, towering brain corals, and wall systems that drop hundreds of meters. The scale of the coral architecture is unmatched in the Caribbean.
Large Marine Life
The strong current running through Cozumel’s dive sites attracts larger pelagic species. Whale sharks pass through seasonally, and large groupers, hawksbill turtles, and spotted eagle rays are common.
Drift Diving
The Yucatán Current carries divers along the reef wall at speed — an exhilarating experience for certified divers with solid buoyancy control. Not ideal for beginners or divers who prefer slow, exploratory dives.
