01 Theory & Briefing
45-minute intro session. You learn everything you need to know before getting in the water.
02 Shallow Water Practice
Practice breathing, clearing your mask, and buoyancy in calm shallow water before heading to the ocean.
03 2 Ocean Dives

A half day from check-in to return. Times are approximate and may shift with sea conditions.
Requirements
- No certification or previous experience required.
- Minimum age 10. Divers under 18 need a parent or guardian to sign the SSI liability waiver.
- Good general health. Any medical condition relevant to diving must be declared before the activity.
- Maximum depth 10 metres throughout the programme.
Safety
- Every dive is conducted under direct SSI instructor supervision.
- Maximum ratio of 4 students per instructor.
- Do not fly for at least 12 hours after a single dive, or 18–24 hours after multiple dives.
- Activities may be cancelled or rescheduled for weather or port closures. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Try Scuba — Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a certification?
No. Try Scuba is designed for people who have never breathed underwater. Your SSI instructor teaches you everything you need on the day, and stays with you throughout both dives.
How deep will I go?
A maximum of 10 metres. That limit applies to the whole programme and is set by SSI standards for uncertified divers.
How many dives are included?
Two guided ocean dives on the Caribbean reef, after a theory session and confined water practice.
What is the minimum age?
Ten years old. Divers under 18 need a parent or guardian present to sign the SSI liability waiver.
How long does the day last?
A half day. Check-in is at 10:00 and you return to the starting point around 16:00.
What is not included in the $99 USD?
The marine park conservation fee ($10 USD) and wetsuit rental (optional, $10 USD). Both are always charged separately.
What happens if the weather turns bad?
Diving may be cancelled or rescheduled for weather or port closures. The terms are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Can I cancel or reschedule my booking?
Yes, subject to the conditions in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which covers refunds, rescheduling and no-shows.
When can I fly after diving?
SSI and DAN recommend waiting at least 12 hours after a single dive, and 18–24 hours after multiple dives, before flying.
