You started your SSI Open Water Diver course at home: theory, confined water and your first two open water dives. The Partial Referral lets you complete your final two open water dives here in Cancún, in one day, in the Caribbean.
Your SSI instructor takes you to the ocean for your two qualifying dives, and your SSI Open Water Diver certification is issued on completion. Efficient, professional, and all in one of the world’s best dive destinations.

Who is the Open Water Partial Referral for?
For divers who started their SSI Open Water Diver course at home, completing the theory, confined water training and first two open water dives with their home instructor. In Cancún you complete the final two open water dives in one day and receive your SSI Open Water Diver certification. If you have completed only the theory and confined water training, the Open Water Full Referral ($295 USD) covers all four ocean dives.
What do I need before the dives?
Your SSI Referral must be visible in your MySSI app before your scheduled date. If you are not sure, send us your MySSI details on WhatsApp and we will check it with you.
Is the Partial Referral the same as the SSI Scuba Diver course?
No. The Partial Referral ($195 USD) completes an Open Water Diver course you already started. If you have no previous training and want a certification in a single day, the SSI Scuba Diver course ($295 USD) certifies you to 12 metres, always diving with a dive professional.
What is included in the $195 USD price?
Your final two open water dives with an SSI instructor, full scuba equipment, boat and crew, and water on board. Wetsuit rental ($10 USD, optional) and the marine park reef conservation contribution ($10 USD) are extra.
